Description: 

The Agency for Digital Italy (AgID) is a public body supervised by the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers with the mission to support the digital transformation of the public administration. The Agency mostly deals with the definition, implementation and promotion of digital services, architectures and tools in Government administration.

The Office for International Coordination is looking for an intern with a bachelor’s or master’s degree either in a Social Science discipline (like International Relations, Law, Communication and Information Science) or in a Formal / Applied Science discipline (like Mathematics or Physics or Computer Science or Engineering). In any case, candidates are expected to show a strong interest in digital innovation and public administration, particularly on an international level. Depending on her/his studies, candidates will be involved in research and evaluation activities that may require some knowledge, or at least an interest, in one or more fields related with Digital Government Transformation, such as user-friendly online services, development and management of IT architectures and systems, open data, data analytics, cybersecurity, digital identity, artificial intelligence, Blockchain and digital marketing.

Leveraging on his/her background, the trainee will be in a condition to :

  • Perform desk research
  • Contribute to international surveys and position papers
  • Collaborate with internal technical experts 
  • Liaise with external stakeholders from other countries (particularly her/his own)
  • Organise internal meetings or events related to the field
  • Translate short technical texts
  • Carry out administrative tasks

Additional Information

Before applying, please ensure that your university will provide you with an Erasmus+ grant, as no financial compensation is provided by the Agency. The intern will have access to a low-cost cafeteria. At the end of the internship, the manager of the office will provide a signed certificate of evaluation according to the instruction of the sending university. The intern will mainly carry out its duties in the Agency offices located in Roma, via Liszt 21, and will be expected to attend the workplace full-time yet flexibly approx. 40 hours per week. The intern must be covered by an insurance provided by his/her University.
