YOUR INTERNSHIP - Anti-Illicit trade, Health and Wine&Spirits advocacy groups internship
EuroCham Myanmar is now offering an interesting and challenging internship opportunity for post-graduates that are curious about the workings of EU business in frontier markets. You can expect a professional and international work environment at the interface between the European business community and the Myanmar government.
One of the main activities of EuroCham Myanmar is Advocacy. EuroCham Myanmar supports its members in representing their business interests towards the Myanmar government. The input and direction come from EuroCham’s advocacy groups that consist of member companies. The overall goal is to jointly advocate for higher standards in trade and investment in Myanmar in different sectors (Health, Anti-Illicit Trade, Wine&Spirits). This entails working with members and the wider EU community in Myanmar in order to develop policy measures and support schemes for European businesses on the ground. EuroCham Myanmar is looking for interns to be in support of the Advocacy Groups.
Tasks include: setting up meetings with the members, participate in monthly meetings, drafting the meeting minutes, support the group members in drafting official letters to the government, support EuroCham Advocacy Taskforce in identifying relevant government counterparts, monitoring of legislative updates.
Minimum duration: 6 months.
Start date: February or March 2020.
Requirements
- Excellent command of English
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Undergraduate degree or previous professional and/or volunteering experience
Moreover, the successful candidate will have the following personal skills:
- High degree of intercultural sensitivity
- Solution-oriented thinking and hands-on mentality
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Highly detail oriented
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and requests and prioritize accordingly
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
