JM International (JMI) is the world's largest global youth-music network with 71+ members in over 60 countries and carrying out 45,000+ annual musical activities that outreach 7 million young people. Created in 1945 with the mission to enable youth and children to develop through music across all boundaries, JMI strikes to make a difference through music.

The JMI Internship Program

We are offering 3 to 6 (or more) month internship opportunities at our Head Office in Brussels, Belgium where interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the JMI team on project and event management, communications, graphic design, social media, marketing, events and more.

The candidate will have the chance to work hands-on with several different aspects of cultural management in a stimulating, dynamic and innovative environment in the heart of Europe. By the end of the internship, the candidate will have gained a firm understanding of cultural project management, marketing and communications, graphic design, as well as social media management. They will gain insight into the working of an international NGO and the political structures behind the organisation. Candidates will acquire concrete work experience that will build on their existing skills set, an asset for any future job application.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • Relevant Tertiary Education or vocational equivalent: Project/Events Management, Marketing and Communications, Graphic Design, Social Media, Cultural Management, etc.
  • Excellent English (Written and spoken)
  • Creative Writing Skills
  • Good/Intermediate Graphic Design skills
  • Social Media Management & Marketing knowledge/skills

  • French/Spanish
  • Adobe Creative Suite

 

CONDITIONS

  • Interns should preferably be supported by a program such as Erasmus+ or through their educational institute.
  • JMI provides meal vouchers as well as a transport stipend within Brussels.

 

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Interns can apply anytime, we have several slots per year.
  • The position is preferably full-time (Mon-Fri, approx. 30hrs per week) and based at the JMI Head Office in Brussels, Belgium (Square Eugene Plasky 92-94).
