We wish to stay a Film SPEED Lab. So we’re looking for a bright mind to join our close-knit team! As a lab assistant, you will be working with people's memories on a daily basis. Developing and scanning various films, as well as ensuring that each frame looks its best. You don’t have to have experience in this field, we can teach you everything. And all film datasheets will suddenly become crystal clear.

Who we are

Film Speed Lab is a Berlin-based startup. It is the younger sister of Fotovramci, a film lab in Kyiv, Ukraine, that has been in business for more than ten years. So we’re newcomers with impressive  experience in developing and scanning. We try our best to develop film and analog community here. And we'd love to have you along for the ride!

Whom we are looking for

Working in a lab is all about repetitive processes. If you find it interesting and meditative – keep reading. Our missing jigsaw puzzle is:

  • attentive
  • focused
  • reliable
  • team player with Upper-Intermediate English (since all the communication is done in English)
  • huge fan of analog photography with a strong desire to learn

You don’t have to know everything, we’ll gladly teach you! But please, pay attention to the first three points. It’s crucial makings for this position, which will be tested <3

What we offer

  • 3-5 shifts per week (it's discussable)
  • ability to use any camera in the store
  • free film, if you want to do some tests or reviews for our Instagram/TikTok
  • infinite Polaroid and film portraits. We love spontaneous photo shoots, but if you don't, we won't force you!
  • working with like-minded pals who get all of your film jokes and will cheer you on if you find some treasure at a flea market
  • working in a startup project where you can grow fast both professionally and career-wise

The start date is flexible and you should be able to work in Germany.

Good luck!
