We are looking for a Language Lab Assistant and Social Media Manager to join our foreign languages centre.

  • Language lab IT related problems assistance;
  • Content Management system knowledge (Joomla, Wordpress or Drupal)
  • use of web tools in foreign language learning;
  • email communication;
  • website update;
  • IT tools in language learning/teaching;
  • Some photohoshop knowledge (optional);
  • Social Media knowledge to advertise our courses in University;
  • Greek language speaking (desired but not as a prerequisite).

 

Requirements :

  • Related Experience in Simple Network and Wifi issues
  • Knowledge about Facebook, Instagram, etc
  • Basic knowlodge of Photoshop or another photo-editing software
  • Create and manage pages (Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn)
  • Content Management system knowledge (Joomla, Wordpress or Drupal)
  • Maintainance of Lab IT tools in order
  • Training other interns about new technologies related with education

Interns will be instructed particularly on how Foreign Language Centres are organised and run in Tertiary Education settings. Special emphasis will be put on:

  • resources management
  • HE internationalisation
  • administrative challenges in running a University language centre;
  • promoting languages in HE;

  • STEP 4. Then, you need to send us your nomination by your University as well as an Erasmus+ Learning Agreement so that we can sign it on our behalf. Do also inform us whether you need a Letter of Acceptance.
  • STEP 5. Finally, do inform us PROMPTLY whether you have finally secured FUNDING by your institution. Please note that we do not offer any additional payment. However, interns are entitled to free lunches (on a daily basis) at the university restaurant.

Internships TAKE place in our Foreign Languages FROM MID-SEPTEMBER till MID-JULY every year (NOT during summertime. We are CLOSED between mid-July & mid-September).
