General information
Your mission is to assist the teacher in charge of the language lessons. You will help them to create new supports and activities and you will also lead small conversation groups. Our objective is mainly to improve our students' speaking and listening skills. In fact, a language assistant is expected to get the conversation going and encourage pupils to practice speaking in the language they are learning.
Some conversation classes in small groups might be set up outside the classroom activities.
It will give you experience of working in a teaching environment alongside experienced colleagues.
You may also have the opportunity to teach your native language to secondary teachers who are eager to improve their skills and assist teachers of subjects which do not deal with languages ( physical education, music, art etc…) to introduce your language in all kind of activities. You can create whatever new project you want for our school.
You will also help to organize cultural activities in our school and may supervise outdoor activities.
We are looking for independent, active and self-sufficient people ready to help our kids become more tolerant, open-minded and aware of the diverse cultures all over the world.
The period of work could start in January 2025( we can also adapt the dates to what is the most convenient for the next language assistant- 3 months from January 2025 or after until the end of the school year, end of June).
