OT for Kids are part of Tx Group, a private therapy organisation focused on providing health and educational therapy services to all within the North West of England.

 

OT for Kids are a growing, private paediatric occupational therapy company. We work with a variety of individuals in a multitude of settings, including schools, at home or in one of our central clinics. We offer both one to one therapy and group work, and are extremely keen to develop these areas further in the future. The occupational therapists at OT for Kids work with children with a range of difficulties including autism, acquired head/brain injury, attention deficit disorder, asperger's syndrome, cerebral palsy, down’s syndrome, and muscular dystrophy.

 

The occupational therapists at OT for Kids aim to ensure every aspect of our service provides seamless, enjoyable and outcome driven experience. The occupational therapists at OT for Kids constantly adapt their skills for use in new and exciting areas and strive towards a better world with better access to occupational therapy assessments, treatment and training. The services at OT for Kids are outcome based and results driven, we strive to ensure every child develops from their first assessment and fulfills their potential.

 

We have exciting opportunities for an occupational therapy assistant intern to join our team and gain experience working with our occupational therpaists at OT for Kids. The responsibilities of an occupational therapist assistant at OT for Kids includes assisting qualified occupational therapists in clinical tasks such as the assessments, treatments and reviews of children with a range of difficulties including sensory processing disorder, development delay, dyspraxia, cerebral palsy, attention deficit disorder and acquired brain injury. Additionally, an occupational therapists assistant will undertake non-clinical/ business development tasks including admin and receptionist duties as required.

The ideal candidate:

The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Working towards or aspiring to become a occupational therapist.

  • Willing to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Experience working with children or in a school setting would be an advantage.

 

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about occupational therapy and will be aspiring to or have achieved a place on a occupational therapy degree. They will be passionate and enthusiastic about occupational therapy, making them a good ambassador for OT for Kids. They will be patient centered and strive to achieve the best for every individual they work with. They will be flexible, adaptable and use their own initiative to organise and prioritise their workload.

 

The successful applicant will have fantastic communication skills and be able to communicate with our clientele, therapists and admin staff effectively. They will have excellent time management skills and are able to work independently using their own initiative as well as within a multidisciplinary team.

 

Our ideal candidate will be focused on their own development and progression to becoming a occupational therapists. They will be open minded to take on new information from the multidisciplinary team and are interested in evidence based practice.
