OT for Kids are part of Tx Group, a private therapy organisation focused on providing health and educational therapy services to all within the North West of England.
OT for Kids are a growing, private paediatric occupational therapy company. We work with a variety of individuals in a multitude of settings, including schools, at home or in one of our central clinics. We offer both one to one therapy and group work, and are extremely keen to develop these areas further in the future. The occupational therapists at OT for Kids work with children with a range of difficulties including autism, acquired head/brain injury, attention deficit disorder, asperger's syndrome, cerebral palsy, down’s syndrome, and muscular dystrophy.

We have exciting opportunities for an occupational therapy assistant intern to join our team and gain experience working with our occupational therpaists at OT for Kids. The responsibilities of an occupational therapist assistant at OT for Kids includes assisting qualified occupational therapists in clinical tasks such as the assessments, treatments and reviews of children with a range of difficulties including sensory processing disorder, development delay, dyspraxia, cerebral palsy, attention deficit disorder and acquired brain injury. Additionally, an occupational therapists assistant will undertake non-clinical/ business development tasks including admin and receptionist duties as required.

The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:
Working towards or aspiring to become a occupational therapist.
Willing to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience working with children or in a school setting would be an advantage.

They will be passionate and enthusiastic about occupational therapy, making them a good ambassador for OT for Kids. They will be patient centered and strive to achieve the best for every individual they work with. The successful applicant will have fantastic communication skills and be able to communicate with our clientele, therapists and admin staff effectively. They will have excellent time management skills and are able to work independently using their own initiative as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
