Olive breeding

The candidate will participate in experiments carried out within the University of Cordoba olive breeding program. The program started in 1991, and it has been a well-stablished breeding prorgram. Work will comprise mainly laboratory, greenhouse and field experiments to evaluate the agronomic performance of breeding genotypes and phenotype disease resistance and other valuable traits. The candidate will gain skills in genetics, plant breeding and crops, as well as experience in experimental design, data collection, statistical analysis and discussion of results. This Intership can be very valuable to learn hands-on experience in olive and other crops grown is southern Spain.
