Description: 

 Our school project is to open students to the world and different languages. All our pupils learn English as a foreign language from Preschool, and French in years 5 and 6 (Primary). It is located in the centre of Santa Brígida, 13 kms away from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in a very nice natural environment. There is good public bus service to/from the city.

 Erasmus+ coordinators and management team will be helping and guiding the Erasmus assistant.

The assistant’s mission : 

Together with the Erasmus+ coordinators the Erasmus student will help dissemination and development of the Erasmus+ Colorful Songs partnership to all teachers and pupils in the school, contributing to create a friendly, active, creative, sociable and communicative school; a place of research, learning and reflection  that is good for teachers, pupils and families, to strengthen good relations in the school community; we insist on the importance of teamwork, collaboration, to promote the improvement of basic and generic skills, creativity and the creation of possitive habits for lifelong learning, promoting the inclusion of disadvantaged students, preventing learning difficulties and facilitating transition between different levels and stages. We improve our competence in foreign languages through the educational use of información and communication technology and direct contact with our partners. We encourage participation and artistic and literary creation in its various forms resulting in students' satisfaction about their own work and the feeling of self-esteem, promoting art and culture among the members of the educational community and strengthening our identity through the practice of artistic and cultural activities, arousing interest in different styles, knowing various artists and local, national and European authors, and their particular view of the environment, which implies the recognition of cultural and linguistic wealth and diversity of Europe against artistic expression imposed by the media.
He/she will collaborate in European activities  integrated in our lesson plans, included her own and Spanish language and culture: art, poetry, ICT (eTwinning), singing songs in European languages, taking part on school trips, workshops, assemblies, special days, conversation lessons and encouraging creativity. 
He/she will always use the English language with our students in all school areas and not only in regular lessons.
