General information
Front is a design studio working with projects in many different categories on everything from industrial design to gallery projects and art installations. Our work shows collaborations with many leading international brands such as Vitra, Kartell, Moooi, Moroso, IKEA etc. Our work is represented in the permanent collection of museums such as MoMA, Victoria & Albert Museum, Vitra Design Museum and Centre Pompidou. The internship should be educational and we will constantly be involved in the process of the interns tasks. At the studio we are all working very close together and you will get a good insight to the different steps of the design process and also have a close contact to the two founders and head designers. This should be a learning experience, were the students can get insight and information about the daily life in a design studio. The overall atmosphere of the studio and team is very important, so of course you should also have a lot of fun while learning :)
The work of the intern will include:
- Research about suppliers and clients, different brands and their design language and research on different topics for concept
- Working on different concepts
- 3D modelling and rendering
- making simple prototypes in different materials
- Making technical drawings and communication material
- Researching production methods and technical solutions
- Working on presentations, taking pictures, transforming sketches to illustrations.
- Taking part of all the different tasks of a design office.
