Programming Language & Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

Botta Packaging is a family company which produces corrugated cardboard boxes with over 70 years’ experience and a passion for creating packaging solutions for our customers.

Botta Packaging is looking for a full-time intern for a period of six months, to support the Marketing Department, focused on programming language and SEO.

SEO focuses on rankings in the organic (non-paid) search results. This is the reason why the website should be designed and developed in a way that Google’s secret algorithm

will like the most. Google’s algorithm factors can be divided into two different, but both important, categories which will determine the ranking of our website:

On-page SEO and  Off-page SEO. This two factors should be both taken into deep consideration and develop simultaneously, to reach a good ranking and keep it ,

in the long therm. 

On-page factors concern technical set-up (e.g.: the quality of your code) content quality (both images and texts) and UX (user experience).

The code should be of very high quality, this means to have a technical excellence.

Content writing is really important, not only to catch our customers/buyer personas‘  attention (and to retain them or make them accomplish a certain

predefined action we want them to) but also so that search engines – such  as  Google- read your text and base their site highest ranks on website’s content. ??

The content should be both informative, and easy and interesting to read It should also have the right keywords, to match searching criteria.

Last, but not least, UX plays also a crucial role: the website must be user-friendly: easy to access, mobile friendly, easy to navigate and it should be fast: users should

be able to find what they need at first glance and in a heartbeat! The top priority should be to create a user-friendly website.

In conclusion, when optimising a website, called on-page SEO, this includes things such as website structure,  content and speed optimizations, UX. 

Off-page SEO refers to techniques that can be used to improve the position of a website in the search engine results page, beyond website design,

 taking into account link building, social media, and local SEO. The most important factor in Off-page SEO is link building, because search engines use link to

determine the quality of content.  Improving our website SEO and producing high quality backlinks.   

SEO and programming language are strongly connected, knowing HTML language essentials is really important for  SEO because Meta Tags and Schematic  Markup

are relevant to search engines. They provide the most relevant signals, for a particular topic, to search engines. Being  comfortable with HTML allows you to easily

edit Page Markups. Conducting analytic reports using Google Analytics and other tools, to check website performance and adapting strategies.
