Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a student interested in sustainable energy to gain practical experience within this award-winning renewable energy company. Mentored throughout, you will be providing support to the project coordination team in the development of renewable energy projects from site identification, development, construction, and operation. This is a great chance to utilise your full range of skills and knowledge contributing to projects from start to finish. Tasks
Use of mapping and research tools to identify potential sites for development
Tracking project activity information such as key risks, issues, commitments, timings, and milestones
Completing and submitting grid applications to the Distribution Network Operators
Producing maps and plans required for grid applications, legal agreements, and planning surveys/reports
Providing ad hoc administration support to the development team
Liaising with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers in relation to activities and services required for projects

Personal Skills
Working towards a degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering or other relevant
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proactive and able to work at times with limited supervision
A meticulous, methodical worker
Ability to multitask

Host Company
The host company, founded in 2017 is an international developer of solar & storage projects with several community installations in the East Coast USA, utility projects in the UK and commercial and industrial projects across sub-Saharan Africa. The core management team was borne from a highly successful award-winning solar energy company and using this experience they are continuing to roll out greater biodiversity and agricultural management, further community, and educational benefits, and shared or full community ownership. They are currently seeking committed individuals to continue their great work.
