The Department of Law and International Relations at Danube University Krems offers traineeship opportunities for law students. The ERASMUS+ Traineeship-Program will help you finance your traineeship at the Danube University Krems. Benefit from an international research network and projects involving Harvard and Stanford Law School.
You will mostly be working with asst. Prof. Dr. Gabriel Lentner, who previously held positions at or was affiliated with Stanford Law School, Harvard Law School, the University of Cambridge. He has published widely in international journals and publishers. His main areas of research are broadly international law, specifically: international investment law, arbitration, international organizations, international criminal law, legal argumentation/theory. Your tasks:
- assisting in research projects and publications (research, drafting, preparing manuscripts, etc.)
- assisting in teaching and lecturing (helping in preparing lecture notes and materials, communication with students etc.)
- assisting in administrative tasks and course management (communication with prospective students, answering queries about LL.M. programs, other administrative tasks)
- assisting in marketing of postgraduate programs
- assisting in communication with universities, law firms and governmental authorities
- assisting in grant writing/proposal writing
- independent research (for your Master Thesis/PhD Thesis, for example)
Your profile:
- Currently studying law (Master’s level or equivalent)
- Interest and experience in legal research and writing (ideally in international law, investment & trade law, related fields)
- Proficiency in English (German is an asset but not required)
- Very good command of word processing software (esp. MS Office)
