Research assistant

The Institute for Design Strategies (IDS) of the Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Architecture - TH OWL in Detmold, Germany is offering two intern positions to support the early development of the research project “Audio-Visual Façades” focused on studying the relationship between building façades and the urban soundscape. The internship work basically consists of scientific writing using Microsoft Office tools to prepare proposals for funding institutions. Good reading and writing skills, analytical thinking, and creativity are expected. Experience in scientific writing or published work is not required but it's a plus.  The work is mainly in English, and using translation tools for German, if necessary.

Your duties:

• Prepare documentation for the project “Audio-Visual Façades” to make research proposals for several funding institutions mainly in Germany

• Work mainly with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint among others

• Prepare digital illustrations for the proposal (Photoshop, Illustrator, others)

• Support in preparation of scientific articles related to the subject
