Our research team has a good experience with pharmacy students from Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal and Poland. We are offering list for the research projects available for ERASMUS students with our Biopharmaceutics research team for academic years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019:
Novel 3D printed dosage form concepts for age-appropriate therapy
There is a lack in pharmaceutical market for dosage forms that are particularly suitable for children or elderly population. 3D printing allows the fabrication of object with different size and shape in proximity to the patient. This provides a powerful tool for the production of particularly children friendly dosage forms. Our research team is an internationally leading group in the production of dosage forms via 3D printing. In this research, the student will experiment different dosage forms concepts and their potential acceptability to children or elderly population. They will produce dosage forms using 3D printing and assess the drug release pattern. The student will receive training on the design and operating 3D printers and will carry out a quality control assessment for the finished product Our research team is an internationally leading group in the production of dosage forms via 3D printing.
An innovative 3D printing method for the fabrication of oral dosage form.
3D printing allowed the production of small batches of drug to suit an individual or particular patient needs. Our research team is an internationally leading group in the production of dosage forms via 3D printing. The aim of this work is to employ a novel printing method for the production of solid dosage forms. In this placement, the student will be trained to the design and operation of one or more different types of 3D printer. The student will take part in the production of tablets and pre-product and provide in depth characterization using a state-of-art pharmaceutical facilities.
If you are interested in doing one of these research projects in England within ERASMUS program.
The students can contact me if further information is needed about any of these projects.
Please let me know if you have any potential ERASMUS students that can join our research programmes or if you need any further clarification.
