Description: 

The Paleoanthropology Group of the MNCN is among the leading groups in Virtual Morphology, 3D geometric morphometrics and human evolutionary anatomy. We offer a position for advanced students in biology, paleoanthropology, or paleontology to participate in a research project focussing on the evolution of the human torso and the craniofacial system.
The ideal candidate will bring some previous experience in one of the fields of geometric morphometrics (R), virtual morphological methods (segmentation), 3D printing, kinematic analyses, and human evolutionary anatomy. She/he will integrate in an existing team of paleoanthropologists to work at the Virtual Morphology lab of the MNCN for a period for approximately eight months on a  project related to the above topics and to participate in publications related to this work.
