At the Institute of Nutrition and Diagnostics Pardubice, we count with an analytical laboratory equipped with the following devices:

·    HPLC - Coulochem (electrochemical detector)

·    HPLC - CoulArray (multi-channel detector coulochemical)

·    UHPLC-MS triple quadrupole type of analyzer for quantitative analysis (highly sensitive technique suitable for the trace analysis)

·    UHPLC-MS with a type of ion trap analyzer for qualitative analysis (identification of unknown compounds, determining the isotopic composition of elements in the molecule and determination of the compound´structure)

·    HPLC-EC-MS (mass-spectrometric tip allows to identify the products of electrochemical oxidation or reduction, which is useful for example in metabolism prediction)

 We can perform the following type of analysis:

·    Separation of complex mixtures

·    Analysis of bioactive substances, less volatile and thermally labile compounds in biochemistry, pharmacy and food industry

·    Analysis of low molecular weight and polar compounds, including most drugs and other substances used in humans

 Application:

·    Food industry, Environmental industry

·    Metabolomics and proteomics

·    Pharmaceuticals (determination in complex biological samples)

·    Clinical testing and bioassay (e.g. determination of vitamins, drugs, toxic substances, metabolites,  etc.).

Description: 

We are looking for one or two trainees to participate in the technical research, in the preparation of samples previous to the analytical determination, standard calibration, preparation and analysis of samples by chromatographic techniques coupled with mass spectrometry.

We are looking for Chemistry students and newly graduates who would like to have their first professional experience from a period between two to six months. All activities will be carried out under the supervision person.
