SMiLE Programme: Language Assistance in foreign language classes and/or curricular subjects in English (CLIL):

· Primary School (5 to 12 year-olds)

· Secondary School (13 to 18 year-olds)

The duration of their work placement will be for one semester / two semesters.

Students of Mobility & Learning English (SMiLE)

SMiLE is a joint coordination programme between the Department of English & German Studies (URV) and the Generalitat of  Catalunya Education  Department  (the Primary and Secondary State Schools) in the region of Tarragona and the International Centre, URV.

The SMiLE programme is especially designed for incoming Erasmus students to the URV. Its aim is twofold: to promote English, French and German in the primary and secondary schools and to offer work placements for incoming Erasmus Trainees, especially those who might wish to specialise in TEFL. Erasmus Trainees who join the programme will work as language assistants in the schools. The duration of their work placement will be for one semester / two semesters. 

Candidates will either offer support to teachers as foreign language assistants or to teachers who teach primary and secondary subjects. All candidates will be guided by an internship mentor. Candidates will be tutored by the official school teacher in the classroom.

Bachelor
Skills: 
Fluent English, French or German Speaker (C1 or C2 Level according to European language levels). (French & German languages also apply).
Communicative and enthusiastic about teaching.
Enjoys teamwork and interacting with children and teenagers.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to use educational materials and resources.
