We are looking for a Social Media Analyst to support the senior management in managing our organisation's social media strategy in order to boost visibility, customer and client engagement. The specific task will deal with supporting the elaboration of the strategy, producing good content, analysing usage data, facilitating customer service and managing projects and campaigns.

The role will also include the ability to assess the success of social media campaigns by studying the metrics of each post as well as the campaign as a whole. Social Media Analysts are also responsible for suggesting changes to campaigns based on how followers have responded.

Must have: an in-depth understanding of how to read and interpret data. A top-notch Social Media Analyst has excellent knowledge of social media tools and trends and can provide constructive criticism to team members.

Skills:

  • Analyzing social media post metrics.
  • Making a note of posts that perform poorly and finding evidence for why this may be.
  • Reporting to the Social Media Director to inform them of the success of social media campaigns.
  • Providing constructive criticism to content creators to help them make improvements.
  • Observing follower engagement and building a report on their behaviors.
  • Researching new social media trends and tools.
  • Keeping abreast of current events and pop culture to better understand user behavior.

 

 

The candidate will be also equipped with the following competences:

  • capacity to develop a social media strategy and set goals to increase brand awareness and increase engagement;
  • full command in managing all social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram;
  • excellent content planning and delivery as well as use of tools like Hootsuite and social listening tools to manage multiple social media channels;
  • ability in developing and manage competitions and campaigns promoting different initiatives or our organisation and brand;
  • excellent writing and engagement capacity, specifically related to blog posts and articles;
  • ability to create engaging multimedia content such as videos, and/or outsource this effectively;
  • ability to form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms;
  • good command in managing and facilitating social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions;
  • capacity in monitoring and reporting on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics.​

We expect the candidate will show a solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, good organizational skills, data analysis skills to draw actionable insight and a the ability to work accurately and with excellent networking skills. The candidate will work in close relationship with the Business Unit director, thus showing an eye for detail, capacity to proritise and work across multiple projects.
