Description: 

We are a small business consultancy based in Tallinn, The Sophisticated Geek OÜ. Currently, we are looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern for 6 months (ideally from March 2023 on). 

We provide training, guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. The position has a flexible schedule in case you continue to take (some) remote classes, and your work can be done entirely from home, if needed.

Job Summary:

As a social media intern, you will be promoting our unique AirBnB experiences and youtube channel (Grow in 360 degrees) across social media.

This internship will help you acquire in-depth social media marketing skills and expand your knowledge of various communication channels and strategies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (i.e. content creation, social media channel management)
  • Manage comments and community on our youtube, Google Maps and Linkedin channels
  • research SEO keywords, tags and hashtags for youtube and social media
  • Learn how to facilitate tools/software like ChatGPT and Airtable for SMM and Content Creation

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Passion for social media channels and marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and attention to detail
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of Canva a plus
  • Experience with content creation a plus

Education and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will be a bachelor’s (or enrolled master’s) student in a related subject, e.g. marketing management, business administration with a focus on marketing or event management, media studies, digital communication, etc.
  • A fair level of hands-on familiarity with social media platforms (in particular: Youtube, and one of the following: Facebook, Linkedin, GMaps or Instagram)

Additional Information

Usually, our interns stay between three to six months; the minimum duration of an internship with us is three months. Interns should be current Bachelor’s or Master’s students, re. have finished their degree within the last year. Please apply only if you are interested in internship under the ERASMUS program, or a similar, government-funded program (i.e. unemployed training, etc.).
