PROJECT

PostLab is currently working on a collaborative artificial intelligence (AI) software platform. It aims at making readily available the tools developed by Academic researchers, so they can make it out of the lab into the big wide world more easily. Hence the name of the company PostLab. Our desire is to see years of valuable research that usually end up at best in the hands of a few, or at worst sitting on a lab's digital shelf, flourish in the hands of a larger public and finally get to be understood and used like they were intended to in the first place. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND INTERNSHIP MISSION

We are a small, early-stage start-up and team, based in the bustling center of the city of Marseille. The city enjoys an insane amount of sunlight and scenic beauty with the sea at its feet, a beautiful spot to explore in all seasons. Our team is a bit like the city, with a blend of multi-cultural, scientific and teaching background with a broad international vision. Currently we are in the process of developing our website and integrating new software.

TASKS: you will work closely with the lead developer to:

• Find, install and test AI software

• Specify software's features to further develop the graphical interface, based on the tests' results

• Create docker containers for each selected software

• Initiate a methodology to automatize the testing process

• Implement GUI (Graphical User Interface) testing of the integrated software

Length period: from 3 months to 12 months.

Possible start date: Januaryr 2021

Full-time: Monday to Friday (35hrs/week)

YOU AND YOUR SKILLS

If you would like to bring your passion for code and programming expertise to our innovative and ambitious project we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for a team-orientated trainee, ideally willing to commit to at least a three months internship, (or more!), at our office in Marseille to help move our project forward. Your internship can be a compulsary part of your training or not, Phd students are also welcome (the R&D lead developer is a researcher and can help along these lines).

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience and knowledge of software development

• Experience or interest of working with Docker

• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Keen eye for detail

• Ability to work both independently and with a team

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Good knowledge of French and/or good knowledge of English

• Good interpersonal skills

• Eligible to work in Europe: due to the current covid19 situation and ongoing restrictions on travel we can only accept students who do not require work permits or visas or any kinds to be eligible to perform an internship in France.

• Interest for responsible AI, technology and open innovation challenges

• Be selected for an ERASMUS + Internship scholarship, Campus Mundi or any other relevant fund from your institution.​

A PROPOS DE PostLab

PostLab est une startup à taille humaine, qui développe une plateforme Saas experte en Intelligence Artificielle (IA).

Elle a pour ambition la promotion des développements logiciels et des expertises, issus de la recherche académique en Intelligence Artificielle, pour faciliter la diffusion et la mise à disposition d’outils logiciels d’IA. La plateforme permet d'utiliser directement les logiciels en ligne, avec une interface spécifique pour les codeurs ainsi qu'une interface pour les non-codeurs.

La plate-forme cible les académiques et les industriels, experts ou non en intelligence artificielle. Elle s’adresse à des utilisateurs aussi bien aux chercheurs, qu'aux étudiants. MISSION DU STAGE

Actuellement, le site de PostLab est en cours de développement et d'intégration de nouveaux logiciels.

Nous proposons un stage à un étudiant (niveau Master) en conception, développement et test de logiciels, qui souhaite s'investir pour 4 mois minimum, au déploiement de notre site web et offre de services. Ce stage peut-être obligatoire pour votre formation ou à votre propre intitiative, nous pouvons également accueillir des étudiants en doctorat (le responsable R&D est un chercheur).

VOTRE PROFIL ET COMPÉTENCES

• Connaissance de PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, NodeJS

• Des connaissances en Docker seront appréciées

• Esprit critique et aptitude à la résolution de problème

• Capacité à travailler en équipe et en autonomie

• Bonne organisation et sens du détail

• A l'aise en français ou en anglais (B2 minimum)

• Bonnes capacités communicationnelles à l'écrit et à l'oral

• Curiosité pour les questions d'IA, d'innovation et de recherche

• Etre éligible pour travailler en Europe, étant donnée les contraintes de mobilités liées à la situation sanitaire seules les candidatures ne nécessitant pas de visa court-séjour ou long-séjour pourront être prises en compte.

• Sélectionné-e pour une bourse programme Erasmus + Digital Internship Opportunities, Campus Mundi ou autres bourses de stages à l'internationale.

Missions du stage
 

La mission pourrait s'articuler autour des axes suivants :

1. Relire les spécifications et écrire les cas de tests

2. Tester les logiciels en ligne de commande

3. Tester les logiciels en mode graphique

4. Reporter, qualifier et vérifier la correction des anomalies détectées pendant les tests

5. Identifier les caractéristiques des logiciels pour le développement des interfaces graphiques

6. Réfléchir à une méthodologie d'automatisation du processus de test.
