We are looking for a sports massage therapy intern to join our expanding team. The role will entail assessing clients with a range of MSK problems and providing sports massage therapy. The candidate must know how to utilise a range of soft tissue skills, provide assisted stretch, recommend clients home exercise programs and write patients notes.
The candidate chosen will follow up patients, liaise with other health care professionals, partake in continuous professional development, attend internal and external sports massage therapy training, observe other therapists, manage diary independently and build a good rapport with patients.
This position is perfect for anybody who is interested in massage therapy, masseuse, physiotherapy, sports therapy.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
To be successful within this role you would need to:

Provide effective sports massage therapy to a range of clients

Work with clients to decrease their pain and increase their flexibility and function

Communicate well with clients

Build trust

Have an active role in training programs

Be out to accurately assess and diagnose soft tissue injuries
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:

Have previous experience providing manual therapy
-
Be studying towards a relevant qualification such as sports therapy, exercise therapy, massage therapy, physiotherapy

Be flexible
-
Be willing to work on evening and weekends
Our ideal candidate will have excellent massage therapy, communication, time management and organisation skills.
