Support Implementation Team

Your role

This internship position is to support our Volterra Team in Madrid. Here you will work helping with the management of different Life projects related to regenerative agriculture, biomass, myco-forestry. Your work will be mainly focused on the Life Terra project, which aims to engage people in climate action.  As a Volterra intern, you will be organizing, designing, and carrying out tree planting projects across Europe. It means you will be planting trees, helping support the back-end organization required for every tree planting event, and thinking along to support our growth and innovation! We are a very dynamic team so your responsibilities and tasks (qualitative and quantitative) will be regularly evolving.

Requirements

• Flexible and proactive problem solver
• Passion for the environment and motivation to fight the climate crisis with nature-based, community-led solutions
• Forestry/Ecology/Botany background
• Experience using excel/google sheets and Databases
• GIS skills are highly valued
• Strong communication skills
  • English & Spanish - Advanced
  • Additional capacities in other European languages: Catalan, French, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, German, Dutch, are highly valued
• Physically fit as tree planting events require lifting, bending, kneeling, walking, climbing and hours spent out in the elements (sun, rain, wind etc.)
• Team player with a high capacity for independence
• Based in Madrid
• Currently enrolled in a university
• Driver licence
