Description:
- As a teacher assistant in an English as a second language class, you will work with secondary students in a whole class along with the main teacher, or in small groups in a glass wall office, visually conected to the classroom. You will never be asked to work alone with the students in a separate classroom
- Your tasks will include: to develop comunication skills in the students, basically through conversations, but sometimes practicing dictation, reading, and making presentations, explaining something interesting about your own country, culture, customs, etc.
- You will help students in their projects to carry out tasks individually, in pairs or with small groups inside the main class. You will also help them with any questions about the English language, especially related to pronunciation and forming appropriate sentence structures
- You will be working with Science teachers (but you don't need to know about Science subjects, don't worry!) and English teachers (in the conversation skills class in English)
- We don't pay a salary, but can certificate the job position in order to help our assistants to apply for grants or scholarships from their sending institutions, as Universities or Colleges. In some cases, we can help our assistants to complete their earnings with individual classes of English in the evenings, or babysitting during lunch time
