General information:
This is a Teaching Assistant Traineeship. If you want to apply for this opportunity, please remember that you have to be a STUDENT or RECENTLY GRADUATED based in one of the 33 Programme Countries participating in Erasmus+. Before applying for this Opportunity we encourage you to check with your university if you are eligible for Erasmus+ traineeship. The canditate could choose two or three months to stay in our school from Janutary to March 2022.
Details of the offer:
We are a secondary school situated in Onil, a small city located in the mountainous region of Alicante province in Southeast Spain, 30 km far from the Mediterranean sea coast, in a very nice natural environment. IES la Creueta teaches students aged 12-20 at three levels: secondary school, baccalaureate and VET studies in PE and Forestry. Spanish, Valencian, English and French languages are offered to our students.
Our school is involved in several projects at national but also European level as KA101, KA102, KA 103, KA 107, KA 120 and KA 229 as well as eTwinning projects. Key actions of all these projects are related to ENVIRONMENT, INCLUSION, SPORTS and MULTILINGUALISM.
The main assistant TASK will be to give an European dimension to our school by helping our teachers to develop these main topics along their classes with students. He/she will collaborate in activities integrated in any of our lesson plans as BIOLOGY, GEOLOGIA, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, MATHS, SPORTS, FRENCH or FORESTRY of his/her choice, those carried out inside and outside the school.
We EXPECT the assistant to help to create a friendly, active, creative, sociable and communicative school with the aim of creating a place of learning and reflection. We insist on the importance of teamwork and collaboration to promote educational values as motivation and effort.
Erasmus+ coordinator and management team will be helping and guiding the Erasmus assistant. We offer:
- Help in seeking for an accommodation.
- Support with the paperwork.
- Certify your teaching activity.
- Make a tourist visit and give information about the town and region.
We are willing to contact the corresponding university in order to establish the way to certify the internship or to draw up an internship agreement and validate the stay.
Please note there is NO financial contribution for this short-term traineeship and the trainee must be eligible for the Erasmus+ grant to cover their living costs. Also, the trainee is expected to arrange their health insurance for the whole duration of their stay. Candidates will be interviewed via Skype/Whatsapp/Meet.
