Translation Project Management Assistant

Market-leading translation agency seeks student of foreign languages with a keen interest in translation to join our young, international team in the south of France.

Description of role:

Your role is to assist the Project Management team by undertaking a variety of tasks including:

• Proofreading of translations in your native language
• Translations for use within the agency
• Transcription of video and audio material
• Preparation of translation projects using professional translation management software
• Managing and updating our client and supplier database
• Creation of quotes and purchase orders for translation projects

Your profile:

We work with all languages and welcome candidates of any native language, but you must have an advanced level of written and spoken French and English (B2 minimum).

You are meticulous, highly organised and keen to learn new skills and discover the professional translation industry. You are at ease with the MS Office suite of software, and are happy to work in a French-speaking environment.

The nature of the internship means that official contractual approval provided by the University (‘Convention de Stage’) is necessary, so this opportunity is ideal for a Modern Languages Undergraduate student wishing to spend part of their third year abroad working in beautiful Aix-en-Provence.

Salary: €3.75 per hour

Start of Placement: ASAP

Duration: 3 to 6 months
