Would you like to be part of a global movement of changemakers?Catalyst 2030 is seeking a Digital Management InternLaunched at the World Economic Forum in January 2020, Catalyst 2030 is a global community of social entrepreneurs, funders and other social change innovators who believe collaborative action and bold, new strategies are needed to address the crises of our time.

Joining forces with communities, governments, businesses, funders and others, Catalyst 2030 members are working toward changing systems at all levels. Cumulatively, members have already impacted the lives of millions, often with limited resources. Together, we envision the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for all.

 

About the Internship

Catalyst 2030 offers the Intern the opportunity to work with colleagues from various countries, and to challenge themselves within the context of a vibrant and growing organisation. The ideal candidate has a background in international relations / affairs, international law, international development, social sciences or similar. 

Responsibilities

For the digital management internship, the main tasks and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Coordinate and manage the social media (SoMe) of the Chief Facilitator (Linkedin and Twitter), including promoting Catalyst 2030 activities and implementing the social media strategy for the Chief Facilitator’s role as a thought leader on her SoMe

  • SoMe day-to-day posting and monitoring, including daily engagement with content from Catalyst 2030 members and the wider community

  • Content creation for SoMe, emerging concepts and ideas, and other activities

  • Brainstorming campaign ideas

  • Review, monitor, and analyse SoMe analytics to gauge the success of the SoMe strategy

  • Collection of quotes from reports and events to use on tiles for SoMe and other marketing

  • Assist in writing, editing and conceptualising diverse documents and concepts for the Chief Facilitator by researching and dictating

  • Update and prepare overviews

  • Draft and write policy briefs and notes with the support of the Chief Facilitator

  • Other ad hoc tasks

 

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as within a team, in a fast-paced environment and across time zones

  • An active interest in global issues and challenges, their complexity and nuances

  • Finalising or towards the end of your studies, with a strong interest in the SDG’s sustainability, systemic change and social entrepreneurship

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluency in English, and preferably another UN language (Spanish, French, etc.)

  • Ability to work in a multicultural and global digital environment, with cultural sensitivity

  • Experience with social media marketing and online engagement is preferable but not required

  • Hands-on attitude, willingness to help-out flexibly if required and having a strong member focus - after all, we are a member-led organisation!

  • Attention to detail - we’ll notice!

  • Desire to work collaboratively - we’re a team!

  • Sense of humour; the issues are big but we have fun

  • Willingness to learn from experiences, positive as well as challenging

  • Preferably available immediately, full time for a minimum of six months

After COVID, we adopted a distributed organisational model with the ability to hire a diverse team. 

This position is remote and can be carried out from most regions that have some overlap with CEST working hours (minimum of 4 hours per day with CEST).
