PROJECT

PostLab is currently working on a collaborative artificial intelligence (AI) software platform. Its aim is to make readily available the tools developed by Academic researchers, so they can make it out of the lab into the big wide world more easily. Hence the name of the company PostLab. Our desire is to see years of valuable research that usually end up at best in the hands of a few, or at worst sitting on a lab's digital shelf, flourish in the hands of a larger public and finally get to be understood and used like they were intended to in the first place. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND INTERNSHIP MISSION

We are a small, early-stage start-up and team, based in the bustling center of the city of Marseille. The city enjoys an insane amount of sunlight and scenic beauty with the sea at its feet, a beautiful spot to explore in all seasons. Our team is a bit like the city, with a blend of multi-cultural, scientific and teaching background with a broad international vision. Currently we are in the process of further developing our website and AI e-platform with the help of a network of free-lancers. The mission of the internship would focus on maintaining and upgrading our website (in wordpress) on a daily basis.

TASKS the internship mission may focus on:

WORDPRESS website

1. upgrading a dynamic interactive web cartography of AI academic ecosystem

2. updating our flow for user data sharing and content creation

3. improving the design of the user-friendly membership interface

4. working on the responsivity (mobile version) of the website

5. customizing the current plugins and developping new plugins

Length period: from 3 months to 12 months.

YOU AND YOUR SKILLS

If you would like to bring your passion for code and programming expertise to our innovative and ambitious project we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for a team-orientated trainee, ideally willing to commit to at least a three months internship, (or more!), at our office in Marseille to help move our project forward. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience and knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX ...

• At ease with the WordPress workflow

• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as a keen eye for detail

• Ability to work both independently and with a team

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Good knowledge of French and/or good knowledge of English

• Eligible to work in Europe

• Interest for responsible AI, technology and open innovation challenges

• Be selected for the ERASMUS Grant Internship

LE PROJET

PostLab est une startup à taille humaine située au cœur de Marseille qui développe une plate-forme experte en Intelligence Artificielle (IA). Elle a pour ambition la promotion des développements logiciels et des expertises, issus de la recherche académique en Intelligence Artificielle (IA). PostLab propose ainsi de faciliter la diffusion, et la mise à disposition d’outils logiciels d’IA, via un portail web aisément accessible. Les logiciels d'IA seront utilisables en ligne, via une interface qui ne nécessite pas de compétences spécialisées en développement et infrastructure informatique.

La plate-forme cible les académiques et les industriels, experts ou non en intelligence artificielle. Elle s’adresse à des utilisateurs allant de l'étudiant en début d'étude, au professionnel senior. En plus de l'accès aux logiciels d'IA, PostLab propose également un service de formation et de conseil, pour accompagner l'utilisation, et le choix d'outils et de méthodes d'IA.

LA MISSION DU STAGE

Actuellement, le site de PostLab est en cours de développement avec une agence web partenaire. Une fois la partie e-plateforme en ligne le site offrira la possibilité de s'abonner à une plateforme logiciels et de choisir une prestation, de formation ou de conseil, répondant aux besoins de l'internaute.

Nous proposons un stage à un étudiant (niveau Master) en développement web, qui souhaite s'investir pour 8 semaines minimum, au déploiement de notre site web et offre de services.

LES AXES DE TRAVAIL

Site WORDPRESS

1.  cartographie Web interactive dynamique de l'écosystème universitaire de l'IA

2.  améliorer nos flux pour le partage des données d'utilisateurs et la création de contenu pour la cartographie

3.  améliorer la conception de l'interface conviviale pour les membres

4.  travailler sur la "responsivité" (version mobile) du site web

5.  personnaliser les plugins actuels et développement de nouveaux plugins

Durée du stage: de 3 à 12 mois.

Temps-plein: 35hrs/semaine

COMPÉTENCES ET PROFIL ATTENDU

• Connaissance de PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX

• Maîtrise de Wordpress particulièrement appréciée 

• Esprit critique et aptitude à la résolution de problème

• Capacité à travailler en équipe et en autonomie

• Bonne organisation et sens du détail

• A l'aise en français ou en anglais (B2 minimum)

• Compétences communicatives à l'écrit et à l'oral

• Curiosité pour les questions d'IA, d'innovation et de recherche

• Etre éligible pour travailler en Europe et sélectionné-e pour le programme Erasmus + Digital Internship Opportunities
