General information
As a language school we try to promote the cultural exchange with different countries, and we think that having an assistant in every language we teach really enhances that cultural and linguistic exchange. The experience is thus enriching for our students, for the staff and for the assistants themselves.
Coming from a different education background, the assistant can also provide a different view on the process of learning, together with very useful information about a different educational system that makes the European dimension of the Erasmus+ program come true.
From our experience, assistants are also highly motivated to improve their knowledge of Spanish language and culture and this motivation is a real example for our own students.
The areas of work the Assistant will be involved in could be:
- Providing information on their country: culture and educational system
- Assisting with language teaching with activities such as oral practice and simulation of real life situations.
- Assisting with the organisation of extra curricular activities: cooking contests, quizzes, festivities…
- Assisting with culture workshops.
- Helping with the production of real material, as for example recordings, picture questions….
- Preparing and leading conversation activities in small groups (5 to 6 students).
- Assisting teachers in class, providing information about cultural background, customs and traditions in the assistant’s country.
