English language assistant

ESCOLA JOSEP ORRIOLS I ROCA (Moià-Barcelona)

We are looking for an English language teacher assistant to work in our school during the next school year (October 24 to May 25). Teaching experience is not required although previous experience working with kids will be an asset. We are looking for candidates with a passion for languages and learning, and with an excellent command of English (C1 or native) in the European Framework. 

The Language Assistant will be working full time with Pre-primary and Primary students (ages 3-11) being responsible for taking small groups of children to do oral activities and help them to develop their speaking skills. The Language Assistant will also support the English teachers in their English, Art and Science lessons, and will participate in other school activities as “The English day” or the program “Sharing to learn” that we develop with High School students.

We are a very welcoming school with an optimistic attitude towards language learning. We participate in European programs of foreign languages (Erasmus Cete+, Erasmus+) and other programs of the Department of Education of Catalonia.
