Description: 

As an intern in Event Management at Startup Greece, you are responsible for the successful creation and implementation of our events and public initiatives. This may include to discuss the fundamental ideas of an event (e.g. its strengths and weaknesses, practicability and usability), to manage speakers, arranging financial aspects, to follow-up phone calls to key participants, providing an on-site logistical support as needed, to ensure events meet the strategic aims of the Startup Greece, to evaluate events, to identify and keep up-to-date with event management trends and to identify solutions, propose new processes, and drive improvements. 

 

Additionally, you will Identify possible events for entrepreneurship by conducting market research. Our project interns in Event Management are playing a key role and an individual contributor to succeed in our vision, mission and goals. We encourage you as an intern to have self-responsibility in all your tasks. You will evaluate the performance of processes, create new systems and procedures and you will work closely with our team. Innovative Ideas located outside the box, applied creativity, and an inquisitive mindset are very desirable. 

From our candidates we expect to have strong organizational skill, effective communication, good, critical acumen, talent for event planning, a very good understanding of entrepreneurship, know how to work under pressure to meet deadlines, the ability to work both individually and in a team, good knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Academic knowledge of event management, communication or in a relevant field is an advantage. 

The Startup Greece offers you as an intern self-responsibility within all tasks, own decision-making, working in a young international team, a flexible timetable, participation on our events and NGO meetings, feedback on a regular basis, experience and knowledge sharing and training on different subjects and programs.

Additional Information

The minimum time period of an internship is three months. Usually, our interns stay between three to six months. Interns should be currently enrolled at a University (bachelor or master), or have finished their degree within the last year. Interns must bring their own laptops. The Internship is UNPAID.
