Graphic design/ Communication Internship

Description: 

 

We are currently looking for a motivated Graphic Design/Communications intern to join our program and transdisciplinary space. 

 

Turrinha’s Cultural Space is based in the center of Porto.

It contains working space for the participants and the interns, a common space, a community garden, and a community studio. The cultural space seeks to work as an open point of contact between local and international community members.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

* Work in the design and communication of cultural activities and events (Document, write, and manage content for social media (IG, Facebook, Linkedin)

* Create leaflets, posters, and other materials based on the projects’ Visual Identity

* Consult and collaborate with the team to understand the project assignment, audience, and intended message

* Revise projects as needed, based on a collaborative feedback process

 

Required Skills:

* Excellent communication skills in English

* Excellent skills in graphic design and ability to work with website platforms such as   Squarespace

* Ability to work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and Indesign

* Ability to work with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin)

* Ability to work independently on an assignment.

* Organised, and with attention to detail.

* Have your own computer

 

 Education and Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree required in, Illustration, Graphic Design, communication, or related disciplines 

* Previous work experience in the art sector is prefered, but not necessary
