Humanitarian work with refugees in Greece

CHEERing is an NGO based in Athens Greece. We have immediate openings (July 2024) for volunteers, students or interns to work with Refugee populations in Athens, Greece. Due to the immediate need, applicant MUST have a visa that allows them to travel to and reside in Greece for 3 months at least. Please do not apply if you do not have a visa or the right to live in Europe, as we are not able to obtain visas for people.We work in the community, with populations from the camps, providing preventive public health and related services to families, with an emphasis on maternal child health, and youth sports participants. Interns would be expected to work weighing and measuring infants and children, setting up and chaperoning health related activities for young people and families, and performing routine tasks such as distribution of clothing and hygiene supplies. We also need people who are interested to coach children in sports including swimming and football. 3 months is the minimum requirement but the internship will ideally last up to 6 months.
