ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 MONTHS STARTING MID JUNE/JULY - FROM ANY FIELD OF STUDY

This is an opportunity to bridge your academic learnings & accomplishments with a practical, real life case study of a small, but rapidly expanding business whilst exploring the Maltese coastline, sea caves/tunnels & cliffs. You will be in direct contact with the founder, Alan Chetcuti who is more than happy to explain & discuss the reasons behind our decisions & strategies behind our actions. Alan is a former Business student with corporate experience in Finance, Marketing, Compliance, Negotiations & Court Litigations.

This placement offers direct contact with clients of all ages from all over the world in a fun environment, whilst exposing you to office work as explained below.

List of duties:

• Assisting with kayak tours & rentals.
• Manage the legal paperwork that is required to be completed by the guests before the provision of the service. Guests are required to understand and sign 'Service Agreement/Disclaimer' in order to participate. The intern is to keep an orderly record of this paperwork, with relative dates & times, check that the guests complied with all legally binding requirements.
• Unloading & loading of kayaks from the trailer (heavy kayaks!)  
• Communicate to clients the proper protocol.
• Use of backend software to: 1) email clients the pictures from the experience, 2) invite them to leave a customer satisfaction review on; Tripadvisor, our own booking system, & social channels
• Follow up the online reviews – with template & personalized replies
• Keep record of the incoming reviews in quantitative & qualitative terms, report findings to management
• Keeping time sheets of employee attendance
• Make suggestions for Social Media posts, quizzes, amongst others
• Write a Blog article to be published on our website
• Possibly, manage cash payments from clients.
• Supply floatation vests to clients in the appropriate size.
• Provide instructions to clients
• Optional - Drive our small backup dinghy (training provided)
• Take photos with our waterproof cameras.
• Rinse lifejackets with fresh water after use.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• English speaking at a basic level.
• Must be capable of swimming.
• Generally fit.

Conditions:

You will be responsible for finding your own accomodation. 

A private room, in a shared apartment would typically cost about €550 per month at the peak Summer Season.
