Full-time
Description:

Miraex is looking for an intern in microfabrcation & metrology to join our team and help us in the development of the process for a new integrated photonic device. Your duties will include the development of new process steps prior to integrating this new technology block into our current process flow. In that aim, you will work on process blocks such as dry etching, photolithography and thin film deposition (metal and dielectric) . You will participate in developing the metrology adapted to characterise the process results.

Your duties will also include the development of new metrology steps to develop our current and future process flows. In that aim, you will use the metrology instruments available both in the cleanroom (SEM, AFM, etc…) at EPFL and in Miraex’s labs. You will participate in making the link between the optical and electrical results on our development samples and the microfabrication aspects.

This internship will give you experience in a small and horizontal R&D team, where every voice is heard and each new challenge is an opportunity to learn something new. You will be able to expand your microfabrication (design, fabrication and testing) skills, mentored by our team with a long development experience.
