Job Description

A well-established Cambridge English specialist language academy in Huelva (Spain) is offering Erasmus placements for university students who want to pursue their careers in teaching. The role will consist of teaching the official Cambridge exam preparation courses (PET and First) to adult learners or teaching English to young learners (YLE) in a fun and motivating way. In addition, the role will include lesson planning and creation, various administration tasks and full compulsory module training. The candidate’s lessons will be initially monitored.

The candidates will be required to teach 10 hours a week (Monday to Thursday). Please note that extra hours may be required for training, administration and planning. Extra payment for additional hours of teaching will be provided. Interns will receive 8 Euros per each extra hour (if they teach more than 10 hours a week). 

The successful candidates will receive an official Cambridge Teacher Training Diploma along with crucial on-the-job teaching experience. Anyone staying for a full nine months placement is likely to be offered a full-time position once they have completed the full academic year.

Requirements

• Native English level or equivalent (C1)
• The candidate must be studying a language degree (preferably Spanish)
• Work effectively within a team
• Enjoy working with children (in case of YLE)
• Be proactive and adaptable in your work
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Be willing to learn and develop new skills

The trainee will work on the visual identity of the company : study the company's graphic design, work on communication tools, improve the website, create presence on social media networks and come up with ideas in order to reinforce its identification.
