This is an exciting and busy Business Administration Internship within a multinational company. Compliant, robust and timely references are required from various sources within a professional and meticulous process. An essential part of the role is to complete and assist in managing the translations required in the office.

EuroCham Myanmar is now offering an interesting and challenging internship opportunity for post-graduates that are curious about the workings of EU business in frontier markets. You can expect a professional and international work environment at the interface between the European business community and the Myanmar government.

One of the main activities of EuroCham Myanmar is Advocacy. EuroCham Myanmar supports its members in representing their business interests towards the Myanmar government. The input and direction come from EuroCham’s advocacy groups that consist of member companies. The overall goal is to jointly advocate for higher standards in trade and investment in Myanmar in different sectors (Health, Anti-Illicit Trade, Wine&Spirits). This entails working with members and the wider EU community in Myanmar in order to develop policy measures and support schemes for European businesses on the ground. EuroCham Myanmar is looking for interns to be in support of the Advocacy Groups. 

Tasks include: setting up meetings with the members, participate in monthly meetings, drafting the meeting minutes, support the group members in drafting official letters to the government, support EuroCham Advocacy Taskforce in identifying relevant government counterparts, monitoring of legislative updates.

Minimum duration:  6 months.

Start date: February or March 2020.

In a country where car ownership is still in its infancy with seven vehicles per 1,000 residents, foreign stakeholders see a sizable untapped opportunity for business. In this context, advocacy should be understood as tool to facilitate the development of local demand for new vehicles and open the market to major investments.

Duties & Responsibilities 

· Leverage EuroCham’s strong network with Myanmar’s Local and Central authorities in favor of the AG members; 

· Further develop relationships with Governmental counterpart both at the Union and Local levels, especially those responsible for policy matters relevant to the Automotive AG’s priorities. 

· Communicate effectively and continually with Automotive AG’s members regarding ongoing Government efforts, upcoming events, the status of priorities, and other information that affects the AG’s goals and interests. 

· Achieve the goals set in the Automotive Position Paper (White Book 2020); 

· Monitor Union and Local public policy developments and develop responses (public statement, press releases, interviews) deemed as necessary; 

· Actively participate in and maximize the use of local associations, Chambers of Commerce, European diplomatic community, as well as outside consultants and advisors; 

· Draft written materials for use with internal and external audiences to support Automotive AG’s agenda; 

· Attend conferences, meetings, and special events as necessary to advance Automotive AG’s goals; 

· Develop an overview of successful Automotive AG’s strategies, conducted by other EuroChambers in Asia; 

· Other duties as assigned.

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

II. MISSION OF THE POSITION

The community manager will be the face of Join Us with third parties (Universities, customers, suppliers, sponsors, allies, etc) through the different media available of the organization, the manager will send the message to reach the specific public.

 III.  RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Representation of "the online presence" of Join Us

  2. Create groups, blogs and communities in social media.

  3. Communicate and answer users of groups, communities and member forums from join us

  4. Create and manage databases.

  5. E-mail marketing

  6. Keep up to date of the different fairs and activities of private and / or state organizations that may interest Join Us.

  7. Support the external communication of the organization.

  8. Monitor online conversations and actively participate in them.

  9. Acquire knowledge of the tourism and entertainment sector (events and parties).

  10. Contribute to the creation of BTL campaigns.

  11. Create written content in an appropriate way for the different channels that Join Us manages (Blog, social networks, mail, etc.) in order to effectively and adequately communicate the message that we want expressed
