Day-to-day operations would likely involve a variety of tasks designed to support the artists and the overall functioning of the studio. Here are some common responsibilities and activities you might expect (Keep in mind that this is a tentative list which doesn’t mean you'll have to do all of it since there is other ppl at the studio doing these thing too)
Studio Maintenance
Organization: Keeping the studio space tidy and organized, managing supplies and ensuring materials are stocked.
Equipment Handling: Assisting with the maintenance of tools and equipment.
Artistic Support
Preparation: Helping with the setup of installations or exhibitions, providing general hands-on support during the creation process.
Exhibition and Event Support
Logistics: Helping with the planning and setup of exhibitions.
Event Assistance: Assisting and contributing during gallery openings, group critiques or studio events.
Portfolio Development: Receiving feedback on your own artwork (if wished). Developing your portfolio under the guidance of professional artists.
General Assistance
Errands: Running errands such as picking up supplies or delivering artworks, handling any other miscellaneous tasks that support the daily operations of the studio.
As an intern, your specific tasks may vary depending on the focus of the studio and the needs of the artists you are working with. The goal is to provide a comprehensive learning experience that exposes you to the various aspects of running an art studio and the artistic process.
Detailed program:
* The Intern will be working in a classroom environment both with STEM-related activities and also general activities for the entertainment/education of children between the age of 6 to 11.
* They will be assisting other teachers with the daily activities from preparation to execution
* They will be assigned task in relation to weekly themes and has to prepare also lesson plans for the days ahead.

* The learning curve from assisting to leading a class
* Preparation of a lesson plan
* Tweaking any lesson according to the class need

We aim to arrange projects according to the interests of interns that will also be partaking in upcoming projects and tasks within the gallery.
In general, interns at Portfolio Galleri would be presented with tasks related to mediation and communication on the social media platforms and on the gallery´s webpage, installation and deinstallation, reception of guests and other related tasks.
We are seeking interns with a positive attitude and ability to work independently. We look for interns that like to take on initiative and are exited to take part in a young but increasingly growing gallery.
Internships at Portfolio Galleri are unpaid, so interns are expected to be funded through the Erasmus grant or other similar programs.
The gallery´s opening hours are from Thursday through Sunday from 14-18. To meet requirements regarding weekly hours through the erasmus program, we make it possible for interns to work on site for the 16 hours in total and partly remotely on variety of projects.
