Your profile:

• Fluent English writing skills combined with an eye for persuasive marketing texts
• Writing, creating & publishing content for social media networks (TikTok and IG: high priority)

• Contribute to company and industry by writing blogs and conducting customer success story interviews

Who are we?

Berlin Music Video Awards is an international festival that puts filmmakers and the art behind music videos in the spotlight. 4 days of fun festivities, networking, live music, workshops, screenings and of course the awards. Our mission is to present music videos from a wide spectrum of music genres and styles of filming, to push the borders of art and bring the best of it from all around the world.

The prestigious event took place for the first time in 2013 and since then it has grown rapidly. Our 12th anniversary is due for June 2024, we are offering the opportunity for new interns to hop on board!

Our multi-cultural team communicates in English, the spirit is young and open minded. The location of the internship is in Berlin, Germany.

General information

OUR INTERNSHIP:

• Duration of 4/5 months (starting mid-February/March).

• Open to university students who are eligible to receive course credit for their work experience through Erasmus scholarship.

• All internships are unpaid.

• When we hire for paid roles, we prioritize past interns.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES:

· 4/5 months (full time = 30-35 hours/week): starting mid-February/March 2024.
· English level: C1
· Professional attitude and high standard of work.

You'll get to join us in filling our Youtube with content, and learn how to edit videos for the web. The priority on the to-do-list will be Wannado's corporate videos such as brand videos and promotional videos, but depending on your skills and situation, you may also be able to join in on client projects. The internship tasks and job description will be flexible according to your needs and the requirements of your studies. For example, you can work with a professional to create a video strategy that fits in with Wannado's overall marketing vision and supports business objectives.

In addition to promotional videos, you can also get a chance to do things like customer interviews, employee interviews and anything else that comes to mind. Maybe you'll conceptualise your own Youtube- or podcast series that will appear on Wannado's channels? Totally possible, with the guidance and support of professionals. In Fuengirola our people share locales with Radio Finlandia, the Finnish media of Costa del Sol. They are also active in various kinds of video production and "visible radio". In other words, if you do your internship in Fuengirola, you will also have the opportunity to network with a local production company.

We have an active branch in Spain where you can meet other wannadoers and the company management. However, as a workplace we are 100% remote first, so location independence is the word of the day. This means that most of our colleagues are based all over Europe and most of our management is done remotely - like all other work in this company. We have several trainees from Finland in Spain every year, but with the right person we can also do the traineeships in Finland or elsewhere 100% remotely.

The traineeship will take place in spring or autumn and we hope for a duration of 3-6 months. We do not offer shorter internships, as we want the intern to have a real opportunity to get into the company culture and longer projects. We are on holiday in June, July and August and do not take interns then.

What we are most interested in is the trainee's attitude and any hobby or other evidence of creative work. Associations, trusts, volunteer work and previous work experience in any field should definitely be mentioned in your application.

You'll get to work with professionals to design and deliver Wannado's own marketing content. You'll learn content strategy planning and a wide range of hands-on content production skills. We're creative and don't dilly-dally - there's always something new going on and you need to catch trends before they're gone. During your internship, you get to use AI for brainstorming, design and drafts, but your mentor or you will be the one to finalise and review the content. You'll learn the many formats of the web: reels and stories, but also carousels and documents (especially LinkedIn, where various shareable documents pop). We focus on video production, but if you're a wordsmith, we'll also let you write blogs on marketing, sales and social media topics.

Most of your internship will be spent producing content for Wannado's own social media and website. Our brand is fun, hands-on and international - what would you ideate around this brand? It could be my day type of content, memes, dances, employee interviews, customer stories, thought leadership content, facts and lists...whatever. Our graphic designers will support you with all your visual needs, while we expect you to be able to produce independently with your smart phone.
