We are Profesor Carlos Socas Muñoz school and we are willing to receive Erasmus+ interns who play the role of conversation assistant in English classes. If you are an active, hard-working person who likes children, working in groups, and collaborating in the centre's activities, this is your place. An accreditation of level B2 of English or higher is required. The linguistic skill that we would like to reinforce in the students is oral, so the conversation assistant must be willing to interact with the students, improve their linguistic competence, mainly oral skills, and collaborate with the teacher in the development of activities and games. The grades in which to carry out the internship could be between 1st grade and 6th grade, with ages between 6 and 12 years old.

We are looking for an English language teacher assistant to work in our school during the next school year (October 24 to May 25). Teaching experience is not required although previous experience working with kids will be an asset. We are looking for candidates with a passion for languages and learning, and with an excellent command of English (C1 or native) in the European Framework. 

The Language Assistant will be working full time with Pre-primary and Primary students (ages 3-11) being responsible for taking small groups of children to do oral activities and help them to develop their speaking skills. The Language Assistant will also support the English teachers in their English, Art and Science lessons, and will participate in other school activities as “The English day” or the program “Sharing to learn” that we develop with High School students.

The Pleistocene Archaeology Laboratory (PAL) is a new research facility in the Instituto de Historia-CSIC. It is designed to encourage research dealing with various aspects of Human Evolution and Pleistocene Archaeology, with particular emphasis on stone tool analysis, and including technological/ typological studies, experimental replications and use wear studies. PAL is engaged in enabling all steps of stone artefact studies through the use of computers, scanners, electronic balances, calipers, light table, hand and head lenses, binocular microscopes, wide tables for material layout and photography and 3D equipment. Currently, PAL hosts archaeological collections from several Palaeolithic sites across the world. It also hosts an unparalleled experimental reference collection with original raw materials such as chert, lavas and quartzites from Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania. The main objectives of the project are to reconstruct technological activities of early humans based on the analysis of Palaeolithic archaeological collections, and through the development of new analytical techniques. Activities will include morphometrics and imaging of the archaeological collections housed in the new research facility. As an eminently practical and hands-on project, these activities will provide an unparalleled experience to the intern/s to know stone tool collections of international relevance, and acquire first-hand familiarity of archaeological assemblages.

The intern will work at the CRIL (Language Center and International Relations Office), a building located near the Civil engineering Department of the IUT (University Insitute of Technology). Our students have English classes as most of them will need to use English in their future professional careers if they work as technicians, engineers or researchers.   The Language Centre is equipped with computers, TV sets, bookcases containing magazines, novels, resources to prepare for the TOEIC and TOEFL tests...

• tutoring students who come to study languages on their own  
• organizing events and activities (conversation workshops, international students welcome parties, talks in foreign languages...) for university students and staff
• designing and posting material online for students to study in autonomy

 Required Skills

• Language skills: as most students are French native speakers and study English, it is essential to be an English native speaker but also to have basic communication skills in French. A good command of other languages would be a plus.
• Tutoring skills: some experience or qualification in language teaching would be appreciated but not compulsory

The following roles are open at this time: three interns in primary education (ages 6-12) and one intern in infant education (ages 3-6).

We are looking for an English Language Assistant that can work full time in our school working with all of the levels (from 3 years old to 11 years old) during the next school year (October 2024-May 2025). The language assistant will be responsible for taking small groups of children to do oral games with them, helping the English teacher, supporting the school projects speaking in English and planning together with the English teacher. We are looking for someone energetic, positive and someone used to working with kids. This person is required to have a C1 and speak English at all times. We are a very welcoming school with an optimistic attitude towards our work and enjoy doing activities together. We are flexible regarding the timetable and dates but we expect a minimum of 3 months stay and ideally between 6 to 8 months. WE ARE NOT OPEN IN SUMMER. We have other language assistants in the school. If you are from outside of EU we can only guarantee 3 months visa.

Our School, Istituto Comprensivo Margherita Hack, has an Eramus Accreditation since 2023. We are looking for a foreign language assistant in German for 6/8 months for next school year 2024/2025 (but any dates are suitable for us except summer months - the school remains closed in July and August and in June there are the final exams for the last classes of the lower secondary school. The duration of your stay is flexible depending on your needs). The amount of the hours per week depends on the timetable that we will have starting from September 2024 for the school year 2024/2025. We have lessons from 7:55 to 13:45 from Monday to Friday (two breaks: 09:45-09:55 and 11:40-11:50). Lunch is at 13:45. Our school goes from 3-14 years old, but German is taught only in the lower secondary school (pupils from 11 to 14 years old).  We look for Universities students who have just finished and want to practice abroad with their Erasmus. The school can help to find accomodation and offers the possibility of having lunch at the canteen from Monday to Friday.
