We are an international cooperative working with behavioural aspects of sustainability and climate: societal, organisational, environmental and personal regeneration. 

For many years we've had 1-3 interns working with us, from a wide range of different disciplines. We love them. And fortunately they love us. Why? Not because we pay them (we don't, though we'd love to be able to). Mostly because we offer a hugely supportive environment in which we all co-create ways to work highly effectively in a caring team. It's a mutual learning environment with opportunities to take part in courses, find your own strengths, choose or define your own tasks, and - for longer internships - conduct your own experimental project. We are open for applications for internships of 4-12 months from students of any discipline and at any level, for periods starting any time between mid August 2024 and February 2025. Main qualifications: curiosity (also about yourself), honesty, commitment, flexibility. An ability - or a strong wish - to take a task, organise it, and see it through. The internship is fitted to existing or planned projects, such as professional and personal development, support to transformative educators (not least in Ukraine), course administration, app development, web site upgrading, digital marketing.

Participation in manipulative experiments in the lab and field surveys aimed to explore and characterize the existence of novel infectious agents of RNA with minimal circular genomes. The student will collaborate in:

- Establishment of experiments and design setup.
- Clonig and In vitro trascriptions
- Field surveys.
- Biochemical analyses in the lab, including chromatography, colorimetric and molecular techniques.
- Data processing and analysis.

- Bioinformatic searches

Internship’s set up:

Requirements*:

• Your field of studies (Bachelors or Masters) is related to in computer science, mathematics or a related technical field,

• Your english level is B2 or more,

• You have experience with Power BI or any other BI platform

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, with experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• You have experience with SQL

• You have experience with analysis of large data sets and good knowledge of machine learning algorithms,

• You have the ability to learn how to build and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and data sets

• You have interest in Data Science and willingness to learn new tools and solutions;

• You have interest in solving data management issues,

• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) concepts and techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the data science and engineering teams to understand project requirements and goals.

• Explore and implement GPT-based solutions to improve the natural language understanding capabilities of our applications.

• Work on data preprocessing, model training, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GPT models seamlessly into existing systems.

• Evaluate and benchmark different GPT models for specific use cases, considering factors such as accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

• Document the integration process, including codebase changes, configurations, and best practices.

• Assess and ensure that implemented solutions meet project requirements and quality standards.

• Actively participate in learning sessions and training opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on the latest developments in AI and NLP.

Our collaborator is a Hotel located in the city center of Granada. They are customer oriented, being really important for them the customer care and the relation with the guests. Their staff is fun and close, making the stay of their customers as good as possible.

The hotel has a modern and colorful concept which makes it one of the accommodations with more personality and charm of the city.

As a Reception (60%) and Food and Beverage assistant (40%), you will have to get involved in many different tasks, whilst remaining positive and keeping a smile on your face when dealing with customers. We really believe that this will be a really good experience to get to know different hotel working areas.

Main tasks:
- Assist with the preparation of Breakfast during the morning (only with groups)
- Tidying breakfast area.
- Checking guests in and out.
- Handle face-to-face inquiries from customers.
- Answering all of the calls promptly in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Basic concierge assistance.
- Planning and organizing group arrivals.
- Day to day processing and input of group reservations while following hotel reservations policy.
- Maintaining a positive selling approach to maximize yield in both occupancy and rates.
- Liaising with other departments to prepare for group arrivals.
- Assisting the Front office with closing accounts.

Requirements:
- Fluent in English and at least B1 Spanish.
- Able to provide a training agreement. Schedule:- Monday till Sunday, 2 days off per week.
- Two different shifts: 8-16h., 16-24h.
- 2 days per week assisting with the breakfast preparation from 8-12h. and then with Reception and Customer Management tasks.- 3 days per week only Reception and Customer Management tasks.

As a business & sales intern you will closely cooperate with our sales department. Do not worry – it won’t be all about sales, you will also try to identify potential customers and areas of business based on news and do key account management. Besides all this, you will provide support to analysts and other members of our office. Generally, you can develop mainly your interpersonal and soft skills, overview on business world and potentially understanding of market research.

We expect from you: Excellent language and communication skills, more than just basic understanding of Excel and PowerPoint. Persistence and self-motivation are must + overview of business world and economics will be needed for your internship.
